I got to do quite a lot today at the store. I was 'on the floor' which means I was one of the sales force members assigned to floor work today. The weather was lovely outside so foot traffic was down. I spent some time this morning finishing the little quilt I showed you yesterday -- at least, I touched up the smaller circle on the left and made/attached a nice binding. Unfortunately, the batting was smelling moldy and must have actually been full of spores -- Robbyn and I were both wheezing after an hour or so. I dumped the entire little quilt into our laundry tub sink and washed it with hot water and soap -- it's drying now (so no photo -- tomorrow).
Since I was on a roll and sewing in good form, I opened up and started sewing on a new kit we got in yesterday from Benartex -- the fabrics are lovely leafy prints in gold, green and brown. I really like this one! The piece is supposed to be about 60" square when finished, a nice lap quilt size. :) The ribbon that was tied (very tightly) around the kit was a dark green silk -- destined to become the fastener for an altered book, I think
Tonight, according to my calendar, was supposed to be the third meeting of my sweater knitting class. When I walked into the store around 6:30, though, Bonita (the teacher) said -- Where were you last week? Apparently the class was last week.
My knack for making scheduling errors is astonishing, really. On Sunday afternoon I get to teach two different classes at almost the same time.
