This is one-third of a photo of Bird Island (California's southern coast) that two friends and I have chosen to make a collaborative quilt with -- each of us got 1/3rd of an expanded photo (each slice is about 8" x 18") to use as a pattern. The idea is that each of us will interpret in fabric the photo however we would like to render it -- only making sure that the match points (horizon lines, etc) go in the same place as the original. Then we put the three fabric bits back together to make the entire small quilt. :)
The only useful thing I've done in the past two days is to take my little dog to the vet this afternoon. He's been gagging and coughing in the evening for a couple of weeks and I thought maybe he was developing allergies (he's twelve years old -- a half pomeranian, half poodle).
This is the drink of choice at our house. So much so that a major component of the recycling we hauled out this winter when we were getting the floors replaced downstairs were empty case flats (cardboard trays) from Az Tea.:) We've had remnants of these lingering on our carport ever since then. Today, as long last, it was warm enough and I was home during daylight hours, to go out and break down the flats (including peeling off the plastic wrappings and bundling that up, too) for recycling. Hugh and I spent an hour peeling apart and breaking down dry-leaf-covered boxes and bundling them into the recycling bin (big, on wheels, covered, supplied by the county:). (hack! cough!) Got a few left to break up but no space in the bin -- will have to wait for next week after the bin gets emptied. :)
