A very happy Fourth of July to you all! :) It has been suitably HOT here in Catonsville today - I spent the day _indoors_ sewing, myself. :) My favorite way to spend a holiday - sewing with friends. :) Skip and I will leave the store to go home soon (before the fireworks start at the local High School on the corner and we _can't_ get away from this neighborhood!:)
I actually completed two quilts today - both rather small, but I have to take my finishing bows where I can find them these days! LOL The first one I will share with you today - the other will have to wait until I give it to the appropriate birthday girl. :)
My friend Barbara went on a tour to India last fall with Jinny Beyer and brought me back a small piece made with vintage sari cloth remnants. Today I found a backing, tied the piece with buttons and a charm, and finished a binding for it. I love these little bits of richly embellished sari silk:

Hope you are having a wonderful holiday, too!
:) Linda
