As the last few hours of 2014 wind away, I thought I'd wish everyone a Happy New 2015 to come - filled with Health, Happiness and Comfort! :)
My friend Patty S. and I went out shopping today (I'll share some of my goodies tomorrow - no photos, yet) in Sykesville, MD. I want to make a small scrapbook/photo album for my daughter with nice places to put photos of Baby O so we went first to PhotoScraps, a great paper arts shop. Tall Lisa helped me find a small (8"x9") album and some pretty papers to get a head start on my project (I'll share more as I go along with it:).
We stopped at the Knitter's Nest just down the road next ... but they were closed for the holiday. Sigh. Next time I go to Sykesville, maybe (I did sign up for a class in January at Photoscraps, so there _will_ be a next time:).
Since I actually had two items on my 'knit shopping' list, we drove to Catonsville to Cloverhill Yarn Shop instead. Wae was there keeping shop today - it was good to see her. :) I bought a pattern (actuallly _paid_ for a pattern as opposed to finding a free one which is my more-usual modus:) for crocheted socks and wanted something nice to make them with. I also had run out of yarn on a scarf I'm knitting and was _extremely_ lucky that they had more! :)
Since we were in town, Patty and I treated ourselves to lunch salads at Piece-a-Pizza. I tell you, Sal makes the best salads in town, imho! So tasty - and I could not even finish mine (maybe my stomach is shrinking? as if!). :)
I have been reading and organizing my computer files and puttering today. Tomorrow I plan to finish unpacking the assorted things I bought while traveling and hopefully tidy up my bedroom so we can walk to the bathroom in the dark without falling over stuff. Grin.
Happy New Year to you all!
