I hope I can add photos to this post. I am interfacing with my iPhone and the usual tool bar is not showing.
Yesterday my brother Kevin and I drove west from the farm for two hours to pick up my niece, Stephie, from her home near the Cincinnati airport. Then the three of us drove for about another two and a half hours to Indianapolis, Indiana. Later that evening her husband Christian joined us.
Around eight this morning the three of them headed downtown to attend GenCon, the biggest gaming convention in the U.S. Of course, I slept on until a more human hour around 10:30 a.m. 🙂
Today was August level hot and I spent some of it doing errands and some shopping. I had to get air in one of my car's tires ... And discovered that the very pleasant service station man was a gamer, too. 🙂
I visited a yarn shop in the very posh shopping district of Zionsville (The Village Yarn Shop) ... Went to Quilts Plus and Quilt Quarters for Row By Row purposes ... Ate lunch at my favorite Indy-area joint, Steak and Shake ... and visited the Clay Carmel Public Library for a bit of peace and quiet. 🙂
I will share photos of my swag and stops when I can get to a proper desktop interface. Oh, this post's title ...
Somewhere along the route of today's wanderings I found myself driving behind a power company truck. It had a big sticker on the back that said "Are you grounded?" I am pretty sure the power company is worried about keeping its customers un-zapped .. But I thought the idea of staying grounded - in reality, daily life, what is really important - is a good guideline for combatting stress.
