Ever seen a pink 'digger' before? I had not until today. My brother Kevin and I went into Jackson to run errands (lawyer, two banks, lunch) ... and spotted this team working beside the Burger King right on Main Street. Don't know what they are installing or getting ready to build ... but we watched the driver of this big Volvo digger knock over and uproot a tree in preparation for bulldozing the entire area flat. He was very efficient using the thing, obviously has lots of practice.
This photo makes it look like it might be a faded red...but the real vehicle was clearly painted a true pink. I've seen red, yellow, green and blue heavy 'diggers' before, but never pink (hence the recording photo:).
Yesterday I visited my brother Jeff in the hospital in Columbus. He seems to be slowly, very slowly getting stronger. The trache appears to be a real improvement for his comfort and his lungs, for which I am grateful (having rather talked him into the surgery).
Tomorrow I am planning a small adventure. My friend Barbara B. is traveling west from Maryland to see her parents in central Illinois and will be stopping at a quilt shop in Columbus. I am planning to meet her for a drive-by hello in the afternoon. I am looking forward to it! After that, I'll go see my brother on my every-other-day-visiting schedule. :)
I got to talk to my daughter this evening via FaceTime. She is heavily at work (in her spare time) helping her friend (and sister-in-law) write a LARP that is to be played in three weeks. No pressure, eh? :)
