I cannot seem to get a stable enough internet connection tonight to upload the photos of mountains we took today. Sigh! You will have to look at my Instagram account to see a picture.
Hugh and I went out around 9:30 this morning (yes, early for me:) to the local Western Union office which happens to be inside the grocery store. The house cleaners in Ohio had contacted me to request another 'donation to pay for gas.' Apparently cleaning out the old farmhouse is turning out to be every bit of work I thought it might.
I have never sent money via WU before ... so that was a new adventure. 🙂 It went fine, with a little necessary research to find out the cleaner man's last .name. They did get my donation in due course - one more small hurdle jumped. I also had to catch the Rumpke driver to ask him for another dumpster.
After Hugh and I finished at the grocery store, we decided to drive around the Craftsman Loop to visit some of the local artists' shops. We stopped in the mall where Susan's Mountain Stitchery quilt shop and the bead shop are. Both shops were as bright and enticing as ever but - believe it or not - I did not buy anything at either place. My son actually asked me if I was feeling OK. Chuckle.
The weather was lovely again today - mostly blue skies and mid70's temps. When we finished driving the Loop, we went on into the Park for a nice hour or so drive (saw wild turkeys beside the road again). Took some photos but didn't hike this trip - I used up most of the 'walk' in me while window shopping.
We spent the afternoon back at the unit being pleasantly lazy. Since I cooked last night, we all happily ate leftovers and salads today.
I read some, started my second chain mail project and watched the newest Terminator movie on Amazon Prime (yes, I fell off the fence and took a year's sub to AP). Glorious laziness!!
