My bowl is slowly becoming more empty as I chug along with sewing my four patch blocks. :) Today was at least partially sunny and a bit warmer (40's?). I needed to run errands early in the day so Hugh and I went out to the bank and post office (brisk but efficient, luckily:). Since we were out together, we stopped for lunch at Five Guys in Dobbin Center. Despite that the place is known best for burgers and fries, I opted for a grilled cheese sandwich - was just a comfort food kind of day. :)
When we got home, I sat to rest for a bit and finished binding off my Wingspan shawl. YEAH! Can't do a photo tadah here until I figure out how to take the darn things. :) Guess I might have to rope Hugh in? The shawl is soft and warm ... but, like many I've made, I will have to find my shawl pin to keep it on without aggrevation. Colors are lovely and the soft warm is yummy. :)
I was woken up this morning by loud noises - the yard service I use (All The Trimmings - Nathan and Michelle are great folks!) came to do the last leaf removal for this year. Good thing, too - the sidewalk, yard and driveway were carpeted in dried rusty red maple leaves. :) Best to get them off before real snow comes along I'm sure.
I sat to sew some four patches after supper while Skip played more games and got a couple dozen more finished before my neck started complaining. :P Here's how the pile behind my machine looks:
Higher and deeper as the saying goes. Chuckle!
I realized as I was getting ready for bed that I did NO housework today. Oh, well ... tomorrow is another chance, right? :) Luckily another quiet day of home work and sewing is on the planner.
