Lotsa new goodies to show you! First, are you QUESTING?? :) The Quilters Quest starts tomorrow and runs through Sunday -- hope to see YOUR happy face in the shop sometime during the Quest?! :)
Now, new patterns (with commentary):
These two angels are part of a series of four stitcheries -- I think they are lovely! About 8"x12", very do-able as gifts or for your own enjoyment! :)
I though this bag was SHARP looking! The black leaves are fused on -- pretty quick and VERY eye-catching. :)
I can see this cute little basket filled with goodies -- the strips are actually made individually and then woven into the shape.
I'm a real fan of this wrapped-cord method of making containers -- these boxes look like fun to make AND fun to use. :)
Just one magazine came in -- 15th Anniversary Issue!
There are two sizes of this cute tool for making yo-yo butterflies (this is the smaller one). I look forward to trying to use this gadget (my yo-yos are NEVER round, so I guess I have a head start, eh? :)
These four stencil sets from Cedar Canyon are pretty cool, in my humble opinion. :) They are intended to be used with Shiva paintsticks but could be used with any good fabric paint or ink. Each set has two stencils -- you can see the relative sizes of each design as the blue sheets are the same sizes. I can't wait to play with some of these!
Books are great, as usual:
I've been waiting for this one and, at first scan, it looks really good. There's a DVD included that I _think_ has some practice patterns on? This kind of work is difficult but oh-so-eye-catching when completed! Probably somewhat more durable than a snapshot, too. :)
Again, I've only gottena quick scan of this one -- but it seems to cover the bases in pretty good detail. Lots of great info on thread types, needles, the basics of construction and LOTS of tips/techniques.
I'm a bit surprised that I like this one so much -- patchwork bags often seem like a bit too much work to me. :) Really, really good PHOTOS of techniques and designs. I saw at least one laptop bag go by and I need to make my husband one -- gonna buy this tome. :)
This is one book that, again in my humble opinion, the cover does not tell the tale well. FULL of really good directions for all kinds of Attic Window construction and worth the modest price several times over. :)
More great designs to use those luscious BaliPop bundles with -- this one gets my 'more than two I would make' vote of confidence. :) LOL
And at long last, the fabrics -- all but one (I think) are batiks. Pretty, pretty:
