I was looking at the new book shelf this morning and realized that there were several volumes I have not shared with you all here. (mea culpa!:) Among them are several excellent books aimed at reducing your scrap stash, teaching new patchwork designs and improving skills for design.
Some great ideas for using up your scraps to make cozy quilts.
The colors in this book really feed my heart! Talk about beautiful combinations - very much in the best traditions of quilt making. :)
I thumbed through this book on painting fabric and was struck by the clarity of the instructions and ideas. This book looks like a really good introduction to painting fabric for the extreme beginner. :)
These quilts are colorful in the 'happy' tradition that comes from the best of 'cottage' design. Some of the things in this book require more piecing than other, but none of them are beyond a beginner with some rotary cutting practice.
Fairly simple, graphic designs using gorgeous fabrics are the theme in this Modern book. Good designs meant to be used on bed or in house!
This is one _awesome_ book with copious illustrations in glorious color to help you apply the basics of good design to quilt making. I think this is a must-buy for anyone who wants to do their own design - or anyone who enjoys excellent 'eye candy' quilting. Gotta buy a copy for myself, for sure! :)
