Oh, my goodness! It feels like it is snowing fabric here! We got a huge shipment of fabrics from Timeless Treasures today (30 or so bolts) and six new books from C&T Publishing. The fabrics include an assortment of batiks, some elegant glittery winter blue prints, some autumn's bounty and some winter holiday prints. The books run the gamut as well:
I have been waiting for this book for some time - I was privileged to take a three day class with Mickie Lawler several years ago on painting fabrics and this book continues the same inspiration. :)
These baby quilt designs are bright and whimsical, very much in the style we've come to expect from Patrick Lose. :)
This might be the best single text I've seen yet about designing fabric - and of use to anyone since, with the online Spoonflower printing service, we can now design our own prints at will. Worth a careful read-through if you have ever thought of designing your own!
These quilts are very much in the clean-lined traditional style - and there is perhaps the most lovely Double Wedding Ring version I've ever seen included. :)
I am always drawn to books featuring collections of block designs and this one draws more than most - graphic, whimsical, easy-to-piece, colorful ... blocks very much in the Modern style.
Now for the new fabrics ... first the batiks:
Now for the Autumnal Nature's Bounty:
Next we have the Woodland Christmas prints:
And the more elegant traditional Christmas prints:
And, finally, the elegant winter-y blue glittered prints:
The shop is just overflowing with beautiful prints for you to enjoy and quilt with - do take some time to come in this week to see the goodies!
:) Linda
