I did have a lovely day today. There were no orchids in it but there WAS lots of sunshine and bird song. :)
I managed to discover several appointments to put back on my calendar. More research due tomorrow (can only stand to do so much a day:). In the process, I got T-Mobile to fix my phone so I can make calls from home (the local cell was not recognizing my phone). At one point I was talking on my husband's phone to the tech and manipulating my phone to get the fix done. (shaking head)
The weather was lovely today - low 80s, breezy and pleasant. I took out our recycling for pickup tomorrow (one chore done:) in mid-afternoon. Forgot to fill the bird feeders, though. Shucks!
I spent a fair bit of the afternoon sewing. Constructed and attached the last two pieced borders to my Halloween quilt. Here's what I have so far ... my quilt holders were otherwise occupied so here is the top spread on our back porch:
I'm very pleased with how this is looking. I bought a pretty print for the outer fabric slab border which I still have to attach. Also bought a backing. Soon as I get the outer border on, I will take the whole thing to my favorite long arm worker to be quilted. Whee!!
More calendar-restoration research tomorrow, along with some sewing and house chores. Likely quiet (fingers crossed) and peaceful.
